Guidelines for parents

Parents are requested to ensure the following:

  1. Wards should report to school in time, bring all the necessary books according to the time table and be neatly dressed in proper uniform.
  2. Your wards should have 75% attendance by the 28th Feb. failing which, they will not be permitted to appear for the examination. They will also not be considered for any awards/prizes.
  3. Read the remarks made in the diary and duly respond.
  4. Regularly attend Parent-Teacher Meeting whenever informed.
  5. Collect report cards personally on the day of the Declaration of Results.
  6. Ensure that no teacher is approached when she is in the class. In case of any need, prior appointment may be sought through this diary.
  7. Incase of any change in your address and contact number notify the school office and the class teacher in writing.
  8. Wards should not carry any expensive articles to school. In case they are lost, the school is not responsible for it.
  9. Students are not permitted to leave the school premises during the school hours unless it is an emergency for which the principal's office should be contacted.
  10. Encourage your wards to find pleasure in doing personal chores themselves. Let them learn dignity of labour.
  11. Encourage your-ward to speak in English. Listening to English news and reading English newspaper should become a part of his/her routine.
  12. Inculcate in the minds of your wards, the habit of respecting teachers & school. They must also learn to give due respect and regard to elders at home and outside.
  13. We always encourage communication, your suggestions are valuable to us.

ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL:

  1. Parents are requested to notify the school should a child be unwell and is likely to be absent for more than 5 working days.
  2. Students who have been sick should bring a medical certificate from their doctor on the first day of rejoining school.
  3. All students returning to school after suffering from infectious or contagious diseases should produce a doctor's certificate permitting him/her to do so. Student suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class.

    (a) Chicken Pox             -                             Till the complete falling scabs.

    (b) Measles                  -                             Two weeks after the rash disappears

    (c) Mumps                    -                             Untill the swelling has gone, about one  month.

    (d) Whooping Cough      -                             Four Weeks.

    (e) Jaundice                 -                             Four Weeks.

  4. Leave can be granted on special grounds.
  5. Parents should fill up the "Records for Non-Attendance" for each day the student from school stating the reasons
